The TBE bus offers an easy and inexpensive way of taking the TBE vaccination. TBE or tick-borne encephalitis is a human viral infectious disease in which humans are infected through tick bites. TBE is presumed to show an increase in southern Finland and in the coastal region during the coming years. There is no specific drug therapy for TBE. A vaccine is the only available effective way to protect against the TBE. Vaccination is recommended for all people travelling in the areas with TBE risk.
The TBE vaccinations are easily and inexpensively available on the Tick bus without an appointment.
The Tick bus is available next at the “Vene ‘11”, Helsinki International Boat fair, 11th – 20th February 2011 at Helsinki Fair Centre.
